The Farmplan team have been recognised for the RBI Recognising Brilliance! Award*, for the work completed towards bringing Making Tax Digital solutions to the market.
The project which started nearly 2 years ago has touched each team across the Farmplan business at one time or another. This award has been given in recognition of the team effort taken to bring a suitable MTD solution to market, supporting our customers and delivering on our promises to enable a smooth transition to the new VAT process for all accounts users.
This project saw us become one of the first 22 software providers to be recognised as MTD ready by HMRC, ahead of many others in our sector. Plus we were able to welcome early adopters in the form of beta testers to submit VAT via the new process. To date our customers have successfully submitted over 1200 VAT returns via our accounts software solutions.

This allowed us to reduce the stress to our customers of implementing these changes, by ensuring they were able to join the scheme as soon as they were ready, rather than having to wait until mandation.”

Even though MTD for VAT has now gone live, Farmplan continues to support existing customers to update their software, learn how to manage the new process and go on to complete their first live submission. Carol Greenway, Software Services Manager adds, “we are currently at the peak of supporting our customers, many of them new to Farmplan in signing up and making the transition to MTD. We are committed to continuing to provide free induction sessions, webinars and how to video guides plus one-to-one software support throughout the rest of this year, for all our customers.”
