Inspections
Inspections are used to record observation information against fields. There are two types of inspection; a field inspection, or a soil sample inspection: for more information, see Inspections.
The inspector list available at step 7 is based on your personnel list. For more information, see Setup Personnel.
Add a field inspection
To add a new field inspection:
- Select the Inspections module
- Select + New Inspection
- Gatekeeper Advanced customers only: select the correct business
- Select the inspection date
- Enter an inspection name
- Select the type ‘Field’
- Select an inspector
- Select the tick to save and progress
You will be taken to the inspection drawer. To add inspection notes:
- Select the ‘Notes’ section
- In the pane that opens, select the field(s) required
- With the fields selected, enter the required notes in the ‘Note’ column.
- Select the tick to save and close
- If required, a general observation may be entered in the ‘Edit Details’ area of the inspection drawer.
- Select the tick to save and close
Add a soil sampling inspection
To add a new soil sampling inspection:
- Select the Inspections module
- Select + New Inspection
- Gatekeeper Advanced customers only: select the correct business
- Select the sample date
- Enter an inspection name
- Select the type ‘Soil Sample’
- Select an inspector
You will be taken to the inspection drawer. To add sample results:
- Select the ‘Fields’ section
- In the pane that opens, select the field(s) required
- Select the tick to save and progress
- Select Add Results
- Select the first field, and enter the sampling results in the pane.
- If you have multiple fields selected, tick ‘Go to next field’ before selecting the tick to save and progress
- Select the tick to save and close
To view previous inspections
Field inspections are visible through the inspection module.
Soil sample inspections are also visible through the inspection module, but may also be viewed through the fields module in the ‘Samples’ section of a field’s records.
