Allocate a boundary

Once you have added a field, it is possible to draw that field’s location onto the map provided.

Adding a field boundary is easier if you have added the field’s map sheet and NG number (or LPID number) before you start, so this is highly recommended. For more information, please see Setting up Fields

Adding a field boundary, with field identifier entered in field details

From the field details drawer:

  1. Select the field map section on the right hand side. This will be a window showing the location of your field, with a pencil icon in the top right corner
  2. In the new window that opens, if you need to adjust the view before you start drawing, you can:
    • Zoom in or out: either by using the + and – icons available on the left hand side; using the roller on your mouse; or using your trackpad as appropriate
    • Move the focus of the map by clicking and dragging to move the map view.
  3. From the icons on the left, select ‘Draw a polygon’ (the pentagon icon)
  4. Return your mouse to the map, and make a left click where you want to start drawing the field boundary
  5. Keep clicking around the field
  6. To finish, click on the first point you drew at step 4. This will complete the field boundary.
