We moved on to Farmplan “Business Manager” in April 2004, As well as being recommended to Farmplan by a friend we realised that their maintenance charges were more affordable. I have moved many of my clients to Farmplan from general accounts packages as they have not offered enough flexibility to cater for the unique agricultural sector. Some of my clients are set up with a very simple cashbook system giving them an answer to VAT, cashflow and a basic audit of cost and income, while others are analysing their individual enterprises to a per unit cost of production, gaining a deeper understanding of their business. Whatever level they use the data entry is straightforward and easy to master, but if they do need help there is excellent support at the end of the phone.
