Cattle record URL link
For any pedigree breeder, if an animal has a web page you can now store the web page reference (URL) in the animal's record card in Cattle Manager. If you click on the link within the record card it will open the animal's web page. The option to add a URL in the record card is available for any pedigree animal.
To save time, any breed society that uses 'Breed Plan' to administer pedigree records can provide a file that contains all the web page URL's for a particular breeder. This file can then be loaded into Cattle Manager. The program will match the records based on the official ear tag number and will automatically populate the URL box for all animals it can find, both current and past. This means you avoid having to enter the URL's manually. Please contact your breed society to obtain the file.
This update will be available in the new release of Cattle Manager coming out September 2011.
